Krakow VARIETE Theatre invites you to a unique Jubilee Gala celebrating its 10th anniversary!
It will be an evening full of emotion, memories, and unforgettable musical moments. On May 31, the VARIETE stage will shine with exceptional brilliance to mark a decade of creativity and artistic expression!
The idea of establishing a musical stage in Krakow was born over a dozen years ago. Thanks to the unwavering determination of Director Janusz Szydłowski, and after 12 years of tireless efforts, on April 30, 2014, the Krakow City Council established Krakow VARIETE Theatre as a Cultural Institution of the City of Krakow. Over the past ten years, the Theatre has presented 17 premieres, including six internationally licensed musicals: Legally Blonde directed by Janusz Józefowicz, Chicago and Pretty Woman – The Musical directed by Wojciech Kościelniak, The Threepenny Opera directed by Jerzy Jan Połoński, RENT directed by Santiago Bello and Jakub Wocial, and SIX directed by Katarzyna Chlebny. To date, we have welcomed over 300,000 audience members — a powerful motivation for us to keep evolving and creating diverse artistic experiences.
The Jubilee stage will host a constellation of performers who, over the years, have shaped the unique character of VARIETE. Appearing on stage will be: Barbara Garstka, Barbara Kurdej-Szatan, Ewelina Adamska-Porczyk, Sabina Karwala, Justyna Woźniak, Małgorzata Chruściel, Maria Tyszkiewicz, Malwina Kusior, Marta Bizoń, Maciej Pawlak, Jakub Szyperski, Jakub Wocial, Rafał Drozd, and Tadeusz Huk.
In the first part of the evening, the audience will have the chance to hear iconic songs that have moved hearts throughout the years and have become symbols of the Theatre. The stage will feature music from productions such as Legally Blonde, Chicago, Pretty Woman – The Musical, VARIETE’s Great Revue, Powróćmy do tamtych lat, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Threepenny Opera, and Variete Film Show.
During the intermission, we warmly invite you to a festive banquet — a moment for reflection, heartfelt conversations, and memories of everything that has united us over the years. We believe that it is precisely through such gatherings that a space is created — one that inspires, moves, and above all, brings people together.
The evening will conclude with our latest production: the musical SIX, directed by Katarzyna Chlebny — an energetic tale about how unity and mutual support build the strength of women.
