After all, you shouldn’t trust all those negative online reviews, right? A group of friends arrives at the hotel, hoping to get some rest, find inner peace and experience a spiritual metamorphosis. Will it all work out for them? Or maybe the secrets hidden in the nearby forest will thwart their plans? Find out during the upcoming charity musical brought to you by UBS volunteers, who will perform on the stage of VARIETE Theatre in Krakow for the ninth time already! Jesus Christ Superstar is an iconic rock opera about the seven last days of the life of Jesus Christ that shook up the musical theatre world in the 1970s. Initially, it was only released as a concept album, because of concerns that in theatrical form, it might be received as iconoclasm. And although this work is still controversial, for many it’s also a profound spiritual experience, and in the staging signed by Wocial and Bello, it was described as a “rock retreat” (Jan Bończa-Szabłowski, “Rzeczpospolita”).

Young musicians, actors and dancers struggle with their own fears, addictions and the pressure of expectations. They learn the courage to succeed and triumph with determination.

VARIETE’s Impro Show consists of stories created in front of the audience, songs that are created “here and now”, challenges proposed by the audience and lots of fun.
