DESCRIPTION

Muniek and Friends is the acoustic version of concerts performed by Zygmunt “Muniek” Staszczyk, leader of the band T.Love. Muniek is accompanied at the concerts by: Cezariusz Kosman – acoustic guitar and Janek “Jahlove” Pęczak – acoustic guitar.

We do not plan any new album or project. We simply want to play at ease in slightly smaller, intimate halls. The programme of concerts will be a product of my various artistic projects, both from the repertoire of T.Love and from solo activities, we will also present some new works, says Muniek Staszczyk.

Zygmunt Staszczyk, co-founder and leader of the band T.Love, was born in Częstochowa in 1963. He graduated there from High School No 4. A few years later finished Polish philology at the University of Warsaw. Initially, he was active in the band Atak, which was then transformed into Opozycja.

In 1982, together with Janusz Knorowski, Dariusz Zając and Jacek Wudecki, he founded the band T.Love. Until 1987, the group was known as Teenage Love Alternative. The biggest hits from this period include “Garaż” (1984), “IV LO” (1985) and “Autobusy i tramwaje” (1988).

In 1989 Staszczyk left to England and the band suspended its activities. In 1991 he returned to Poland, and reactivated T.Love with himself being the only member of the old band. He was also active in artistic projects such as Szwagierkolaska and Paul Pavique Movement.
