Patrick The Pan is the guest of this year’s series Concert Autumn in VARIETE! The musician, known for his collaboration with Dawid Podsiadło, will perform on our stage on 15 November 2023 at 19:00. Advance ticket sales will last until 30 October 2023.
Piotr Madej, performing as Patrick The Pan, is an alternative artist from Kraków representing the young generation. Americans use to call people like him with admiration “self-made man”. He’s not only a lyricist and composer, but is also active as a producer. He has worked with Daria Zawiałow, Andrzej Smolik, Ralph Kamiński, Dawid Tyszkowski, Paulina Przybysz, Kaśka Sochacka, Meek Oh Why and Misia Furtak, among others. Patrick has had the opportunity to perform at some of the most important music festivals in Poland, such as Open’er, OFF Festival and Męskie Granie. Although the artist sings in one of his songs “I prefer silence and jazz to techno”, he loves to contradict these words during his concerts. He and his band skilfully balance between electronics, guitar playing and the quiet, solo tapping of piano keys. All that is bonded by the melancholy omnipresent in the music and lyrics, which, by the way, has accompanied Peter since the very beginning of his career. When not performing as Patrick The Pan, Madej tours as a musician with Dawid Podsiadło.
In 2021, he recorded his fourth album entitled “Miło Wszystko”. The album has been well received by journalists and audiences alike, and the singles promoting it are eagerly played by radio stations across Poland. The album also earned Patrick nominations for awards such as Odkrycia Empiku 2021 and Piątka ASZ Dziennika. The band will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2023.
