Adonis is a beautiful and talented parrot, living alone in his cage. He leads an orderly and truly royal life. When an uninvited guest - a crow, who knows everything about real life - appears in his palace, the whole world as he knew it turns upside down.
Their meeting is a clash of two different characters and visions of the world - uniquely entertaining as well as also informative. How do you explain to a parrot what freedom is? After all, Adonis is not aware that he lives in captivity. How do you convince him to run, when he claims that he is fine? How to avoid arguments, getting angry and sulking? Is it possible to build a friendship when one has so few things in common?
The play beautifully shows the ability to see someone different as a person who enables us to change our perspective and helps us notice other qualities. The young viewer also learns the importance of cooperation, which is the key to achieving great goals, and discovers life's truths conveyed in an entertaining and surprising way.
Find out what happens when two completely different personalities are locked in a single cage. Will the fear of novelty, numerous prejudices and different backgrounds prevent a friendship or let it flourish? Where does freedom end and where does it begin? Maybe the thickest bars are in our minds? These questions and more will be answered by a hilarious musical comedy featuring the rhythms of swing, jazz, samba, funk, reggae and more....
