Powróćmy do tamtych lat is the return to the noble traditions of the cabaret. It is a tribute the masters of this genre. It is a moving yet fun story that restores the incredible creativity of the interwar period. Above all, however, it is an extraordinary travel in time – with live music, where the audience is guided by the Manager of the Krakow VARIETE Theatre and at the same time director of the play, Janusz Szydłowski.

Spectators can hum with actors the popular stage hits, such as “Nie kochać w taką noc”, “Powróćmy jak za dawnych lat”, or “Madame LouLou”, as well as hear some funny sketches and poems of the most outstanding Polish cabaret artists, including: Anda Kitschman, Marian Hemar, Julian Tuwim, Jerzy Jurandot and Konrad Tom. The cast consists of the legends of the Polish film and theatre: Krystyna Podleska, Tadeusz Huk, Jerzy Trela, Janusz Szydłowski, as well as Marta Bizoń, Barbara Garstka and Karol Wolski. These outstanding actors are accompanied by a music band under the direction of Oleg Sznicar and dancers: Anita Szydłowska and Jan Borecki.
Legendary songs in new arrangements, amusing poems in exceptional interpretations, unique atmosphere… This show guarantees unforgettable entertainment for both the spectators who are familiar with “those years” and for others, who are curious what was happening then at the music and cabaret stages.
